Terms of Service

Last updated 22 August 2026

Invoisory is invoicing software for freelancers and small teams. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use the website, app, and related services (together, the “Service”).

1. Agreement

By creating an account, clicking “Create account”, continuing with Google, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use Invoisory for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Invoisory lets you create and manage clients, invoices, recurring schedules, PDFs, and a revenue dashboard. Paid plans may include your logo on invoices, unbranded PDFs, and automatic payment reminders.

Invoisory is a tool. We are not a bank, accountant, tax adviser, or payment processor for the invoices you send your clients. You are responsible for the accuracy of amounts, taxes, due dates, and any legal wording you put on an invoice.

3. Accounts

You must provide a working email address and keep your password confidential. You may also sign in with Google. You are responsible for activity on your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live. One person or organisation per free workspace unless we say otherwise. Team seats on Business are not available yet.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the invoices, clients, logos, notes, and other material you upload (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited licence to host, display, back up, and process Your Content only as needed to run the Service — for example generating a PDF or sending a reminder you turned on.

You confirm you have the right to use Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

5. Your clients

Client names, emails, and addresses you store belong to your relationship with those people. If you enable payment reminders, we email those clients on your behalf using the details you entered. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact them and for the content of those messages.

Free-plan invoices are not emailed by Invoisory.

6. Plans and billing

The Free plan is limited (currently 3 clients and 5 invoices per month). Pro is billed in USD. Current prices are on the Pricing page and may change with notice for renewals.

Paid subscriptions are charged by Polar, who acts as merchant of record. Polar handles checkout, tax, receipts, and refunds. Invoisory never stores your card number. Polar’s own terms also apply to the payment itself.

You can cancel from Settings. You keep invoices you already created. Features that require a paid plan (such as unbranded PDFs or automatic reminders) stop when the subscription ends.

Business is listed as a future plan and is not purchasable yet.

7. Acceptable use

Do not use the Service to:

  • Break the law, commit fraud, or issue fake invoices
  • Probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the Service beyond ordinary use
  • Upload malware or scrape other users’ data
  • Send spam or reminders to people who did not agree to hear from you

We may suspend or close accounts that violate this section.

8. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Invoisory running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, pause, or discontinue features. Where a change removes a paid capability you already bought, we will give reasonable notice or a comparable alternative where we can.

The Service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that invoices, PDFs, or reminders will be error-free or fit a particular legal or accounting purpose.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Invoisory is not liable for lost profits, lost data, missed payments from your clients, or indirect or consequential loss.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim (or, if you are on Free, fifty US dollars). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending the Service

You may stop using Invoisory at any time and cancel a paid plan through Polar via Settings. We may suspend or close an account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or risk to the Service.

After closure we delete Your Content from live systems, subject to backups and legal retention. Export anything you need before you leave. You can delete the account yourself from Settings.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after the update means you accept the new Terms. If a change is material, we will try to email the address on your account.
