Privacy Policy
Last updated 22 August 2026
This policy explains what Invoisory collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers the website, app, and related services.
1. Who we are
Invoisory provides invoicing software. For privacy questions, email hunowisdom14@gmail.com.
For your own account and the invoices you create, we decide how that product data is processed. For personal data of your clients (their name, email, and address), you are the controller and we process that data on your instructions to run the Service.
2. What we collect
Account and profile
- Email address, password (stored hashed by our auth provider), and full name
- Google account email and name if you choose “Continue with Google”
- Business profile: name, email, phone, address, default currency, logo, and reminder preferences
Work you create in the product
- Clients: name, company, email, phone, address, and notes
- Invoices and line items: numbers, dates, amounts, tax, discounts, currency, status, notes, and payment terms
- Recurring invoice schedules
- Logos you upload (PNG or JPEG, stored as PNG)
Billing
- Plan, subscription status, and Polar customer/subscription identifiers. Card details are collected by Polar, not by Invoisory.
Messages and support
- Name, email, and message if you write to us via Contact or email
Technical
- Sign-in session, device/browser needed to keep you logged in, and basic server logs
- Theme preference stored on your device
We do not sell your personal data.
3. How we use it
- Create and secure your account, including email confirmation and password reset
- Provide invoicing, PDFs, the dashboard, and plan limits
- Send Pro payment reminders to your clients when you have reminders enabled
- Process upgrades, cancellations, and receipts through Polar
- Reply to support requests and improve reliability of the Service
- Detect abuse and keep the Service secure
We rely on: performing our contract with you; legitimate interests in running a secure product; and legal obligations (for example tax records Polar holds as merchant of record). Where a law requires consent (certain cookies or marketing), we will ask.
4. Your clients
When you store a client or send a reminder, you decide what to send and to whom. You must only add people you are allowed to contact. On Pro, reminders can go out 3 days before the due date, on the due date, then weekly while an invoice is overdue, unless you mute an invoice or pause reminders in Settings. Free invoices are never emailed by us.
5. Who we share data with
We share data with companies that help us run Invoisory:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (including invoice logos)
- Polar — paid subscriptions, tax, and receipts. Polar is merchant of record and has its own privacy notice for payment data
- Google — only if you sign in with Google, so they can authenticate you
- Email delivery used for confirmation, password reset, and (on Pro) client reminders
We may disclose data if required by law, or to protect Invoisory, you, or others from harm or fraud. If we ever transfer the product, user data would move with it under this policy or a successor notice.
7. How long we keep it
We keep account and invoice data while your account is open. After you ask us to delete the account, we remove live data within a reasonable period, except copies we must keep for legal, security, or backup purposes, which we then delete on the backup cycle.
Polar retains billing records as required for tax. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for operations and security.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the UK/EEA), you may ask to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most profile and invoice data yourself in the app.
To close an account, use Delete account in Settings. That removes your login, invoices, clients, and logo from live systems. Polar may keep receipts for tax. You can also email hunowisdom14@gmail.com from the address on the account if you need a copy of your data first.
If we process data as your processor (your clients), we will help you respond to their requests where the request relates to data in Invoisory.
9. Security and transfers
We use HTTPS, access-controlled databases, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. Hosting and processors may store data outside your country; they are required to protect it under their contracts with us.
10. Children
Invoisory is for adults running a business or freelance practice. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If you believe a child created an account, tell us and we will delete it.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. If a change is material, we will try to email you. See also our Terms of Service.
